Get your old house renovation with playing its volume and proportion so become great modern house style like this. Open interior concept with creating 3 main points. A height and volume are compressed and expanded within this single fronted victorian terrace. These spatial rhythms are similarly overlayed and integrated with the change in language from period facade through to the new intervention at the rear.
The small site required every last mm to be utilized, hence all the internal walls of the previous partially detached rear are pushed to the site boundaries effectively fortifying the internal and external living areas and maximizing the sites potential useable area.
A series of architectural objects are dropped onto the virtually clean slate of the rear open space. This series of specifically positioned yet seemingly random geometric forms dangle precariously over the drop in floor level (accommodating the fall of the site) and house different functional zones that delineate spaces within the main volume. Designed by Matt Gibson Architects.
