Urban Luxury Loft House Flats

This House Flats remodeling design is the renovation of an historic three-story warehouse into new urban luxury loft living spaces. This project is a response to the increasing shift in urban living that involves revitalizing existing warehouse and historic buildings in the urban core to create desirable living spaces in the heart of the city. This flats located in Kansas City’s popular Crossroads Arts District.

BNIM Architects converted the existing building into a 34,500 square foot, 22-unit condominium complex featuring concrete floors, lofty ceilings, balconies and a roof garden. Since the building received historic tax credits, the existing building shell was maintained and restored. The additional 4th floor and non-historic north facade were modernized to include a 4th floor penthouse, exterior fire stairs and north facing balconies for the 2nd and 3rd floor units. The project includes a new 33-stall covered parking lot on the north side.

The design came from collaborative process of discovery of Alan J Mayer Architects and the owner whose friends of the architect. Luxurious French Manor Home Design

With U-shape plan concept, and inspiration from manor house at France, this home really luxurious. Sniff the ambience, you’ll feel like noble in the past. The interiors were designed to gracefully accept the owner’s French family heirlooms while also creating comfortable rooms for the family to live in on a daily basis. The gardens radiate from all sides of the house creating a variety of outdoor spaces, including a large garden off the Family Room where the family dogs can cool off in their pool and rest in the shade of their own folly.

Its classic home, but appropriated with modern living. Felhandler/Steeneken Architects was responsible for the exterior and interior design for this project, as well as the exterior hardscape and location and layout of the gardens.

Shingle Style Manor House Luxury Ideas

Built on lake side and mountain terrain site, this luxurious residence was designed to blend in with its surroundings. By building on only a small portion of the forested acreage, the vassel majority of the land is preserved in its natural state and unaffected by development.

Substantial in size and scale as befitting its 70+ acre site on the shoreline of New Hampshire’s largest inland waterway, Lake Winnipesaukee. The exterior colors were chosen to blend into the earth tones of the site’s natural hues. The end result is such that looking from the lake back to the home, one can only catch glimpses of the house nestle among the pine trees in a harmonious relationship with nature’s natural color palette. Classic Luxury Witchell Salon Building Renovation

Extensive renovation of former general goods store (circa 1919) into hair salon and spa for owner David Witchell. Renovation ambitions were to create flagship store for hair designer twice nominated for best hair stylist in North America. Featured on many occasions in national print and TV media.

Also included the design of custom furniture, fixtures and lighting. Rich modern furniture forms in a broad material palette of species of sapele, walnut, and ebonized mahogany woods; bronze and patinaed steel metals, and ceramic frit patterned glass. Designed by Hayden A+UD.

Modern Spartan Luxury Gymnasium Bungalow

Looks like Spartan building, this modern living spaces incorporates with a large gymnasium in the basement. The ground floor accommodates a large living room opening out to a patio and garden, a dining area, kitchen and guest bedroom. The upper floor includes two bedrooms and a family room. The straight lines of the elevations, colonnade and double height living room gives the house a look of Spartan luxury. Designed by Chaney Architects.

Luxurious Sandstone Structures Café Bar Design

This café interior design carved a traditional India atmosphere to produce is luxurious, mysterious and decadent ambience. From sandstone structures that been standing since C13th in northern India, patchwork of colors, textures and shadows became a touchstone for the project which seeks to reconcile old and new India It uses traditional pink sandstone and carved timber screens in an altogether new way fusing established materials with a graphic sense of pattern and colour to create an ambience that is rich and enveloping. In addition the concept of ‘patchwork’ is introduced both as a motif and as a metaphor for the city. Elements are collaged together from the different pink colors on the floor to the dusky pink mirror on the walls and the ceiling tiles to the entrance.

The layout is understood as a box within a box where the inner sanctum is accessed via the sliding timber screens. This area has a lowered ceiling and features a collection of furniture all covered in red leather, silk and cotton. On the floor are a number of individually designed textured rugs by Project Orange.

The bar itself is on the end wall standing in front of a huge textured hand carved sandstone relief. It’s timber top is supported on a long row of turned timber spindles that are lit by individual led lights. The counter rises in height on axis with the main entrance to act as a platform for the DJ who is in command of creating the right atmosphere all night long. The window to the pool side are etched with a delicate motif providing only a sense of the world beyond. What a beautiful interior design that designed by Project Orange. Linear Progression Modern Residence Design Concept

With long narrow corner site, public access to river and river boardwalk at rear, this modern house has interesting architectural design style. A linear progression architectural concept applied. Begin from the entry, opening out to the pool and river view beyond. Generous double height volumes link the ground level living with upstairs bedroom areas.

To make owner privacy from public, water features applied from the entry and outside the kitchen. A Simple palette of materials of render and zinc cladding with double height louvered panels provide contrast and privacy to the interior. Dramatic Seams Construction Metal Facades Building

This building will boast a dramatic, highly decorative exterior inspired equally by the applied metal facades of tribeca’s 19^th century cast iron architecture and such contemporary sources as couture fashion, with its dramatic seams and construction techniques.

Gleaming black horizontal ribbons of metal will wrap the facades, twisting and torquing into functional elements – balconies, terraces, and sunshades – and framing views from within the building. Van Berkel’s horizontal geometries are integrated into the residences of this building; Five Franklin Place, where space is configured to allow the maximum amount of interpretation by those who live inside and key fixtures are custom-designed and streamlined to emphasize the great horizontal planes of windows that offer views of the city and bring light indoors.

The interiors of the 55 residences are designed in three distinct apartment types: Loft Residences, City Residences and Sky Penthouses, each with their own distinct architectural features, colour palate and choice of materials.

Located in the Tribeca Historic Cast Iron District in downtown Manhattan, Five Franklin Place, will be the first major American building by Dutch architect Ben van Berkel of UN studio. The building will rise 20 stories offering impressive panoramic views of the Hudson River, East River, and Manhattan Skyline.

Box-Like Volumetric Sloping Ultra Modern House

Box structural house should be attractive like this house. Ultra modern concept feel in touch. The sloping site is used as a device for programmatic and volumetric organization.

In a a split-level internal organization, the volumetric transition is generated by a set of five parallel walls that rotate along a horizontal axis from vertical to horizontal. The ruled surface maintaining this transition is repeated five times in the building. From inside the huge window strips from floor to ceiling allow a fluid continuity between interior and landscape. From the exterior the reflective glass seams to become one with its surroundings.

Small Cluster Bland Brick Renovation Ideas

 Formerly, this house is a council house comprised of bland brick facades with aluminium-framed windows and a concrete tiled monopitched roof. Formerly, a south facing rear garden provided sanctuary within the bleak urban surroundings. This house is one of a small cluster of council houses set in prominent position at the head of a quiet cul-de-sac on the 1970’s housing estate.
The architects extended the existing house to provide more spacious accommodation, with an open plan ground floor layout and a new master bedroom with double height space at first floor, with the overall aim to give the house an individual character.

Preliminary discussion with the London Borough of Brent Conservation Officer were encouraging, and it was agreed at an early stage that an external render finish would be appropriate to provide a unified façade tying the existing walls in with thw new walls of the two-storey extension.

In order to create a more spacious ground floor, the existing cellular rooms were completely opened up to make a single open-plan space, and large full height sliding doors were inserted all around facing onto the garden. The space was also increased by the addition of a single storey rear extension in the form of a freestanding fin wall allowing fully glazed bays to push out into the newly landscaped garden, with a concealed roof terrace above.

Adding a third to its length to provide further accommodation for the ground floor and new double height bedroom space. At the front of the building, a new fin wall has also been introduced allowing a glazed bay to push out behind it with a roof terrace above. The small ground floor rooms of the existing dwelling have been knocked though to make a unified open-plan space.

The exterior of the house was finished with a simple palette of white render and red marrantie hardwood windows and cladding. The result is a house that stands out from its brick neighbours and catching the sunlight, brings a Mediterranean feel to its North London context. Desingned by Crawford Partnership

Glass Aluminium Modern House Design

This modern house built in two-storey with a connected and overlying glass-aluminium body and two single-storey, flanking wooden bodies. Colored white white-rendered solid body make minimalist and clean design appear. The used Cell-Glazing facade with flaps that open towards the outside by motor activity guarantees an outstanding nocturnal cooling-off. This effect is increased by the various accumulators (ceilings, walls, stone floor). The main part of the heat requirement is covered by an non-visible, thermal solar power plant that is integrated in the roof.

The faces of the building vary a lot; closed towards the road, northwards, more open towards the garden in the west (loggia) and southwards, completely transparent. The clouding is taken on by the stock of high trees so a sunscreen was left out. Designed by Gatermann + Schossig Architects.
