Renewal and Addition of 50’s Bay House Design

This architecture project was to conserve original architecture of 50’s bay house and enhance the house to support modern way of living. The existing house built by functionalist architect Hector Mestre. This house has special site, placed right on the bay with no construction obstructing the view of the old port, the ancient fort and the Modern bay. New house plans layout built, create better space’s distribution

Stunning Outdoor Spaces
Existing terrace with swimming pool behind it demolished, new structure of living-terrace-bar-dining space with a new pool facing the bay built, create large open spaces to enjoy full bay landscape. The open living rooms that unify with the main building completely open at side of swimming pool. The dining room has simple roof structure, like pergola. The swimming pool create in infinity style, its water level is higher than the boundary wall, create drama effect, the pool seems unify with the sea. Tiles flooring combine with wooden flooring.

Construction and Interior Design
Showing what is new and what is old is the architects’ strategy to combine the original architecture and new design. Interesting interior design is the bathroom. The bathroom created large with opening structure and has plaited roof to create tropical sense.
