Three-stories House in Wooden Structure and Solid Interior Order

This modern house is typical form of Japanese house, small, compact, and has solid interior order to maximize the spaces. Built with wooden structure, this house consists of three level floors. First floor contain kitchen and dining area, living room, and of course tatami area.

Living area placed at center, flanked by kitchen-dining and tatami area. Floor height becomes divider of those three areas. For the tatami area, sliding doors applied. Retaining wall at the kitchen clad with natural black stones décor that unify with the kitchen appliances in natural dark wood colors and living area floor, but contrast with white flooring and white kitchen area. The color theme cohesiveness and contrast scheme between these three areas create interesting interior design and make the three areas can clearly distinguishable but also can be viewed as a single unit.
